Ginger Sorvari Bucklin is the executive director of the Nerdery Foundation, which “works to bridge this gap [between potential and technical barriers] , bringing together highly-skilled technologists with the community-based organizations who most need their help.” Nerdery Foundation is now launching a new project, NerdKind, which is ready to pair a wide range of skilled professionals in the technology field with charities seeking their help.
Ginger joins host Steve Boland to talk about the inspiration for NerdKind, the kinds of projects which may be supported as the platform grows, and the issues which confront charities seeking to do a better job of integrating new tools for their work.
