Mazarine Treyz

Mazarine Treyz is the Founder and CEO of Wild Woman Fundraising, which supports both organizations and individuals to become more successful fundraisers for their work.

Mazarine joins host Steve Boland to talk about the long-standing issue of turnover in fund development staff for charities. Some staff may leave a position early for unrelated reasons, but often the high churn in development staff is due to poor expectations, poor communication of those expectations, or poor support to grow tools and staff over time. Mazarine emphasizes her experience with building a pipeline, mentoring newer development staff (and board and others!), and knowing the value of making the right hire and building realistic goals to celebrate.
