Metricool might be the cool new kid when it comes to social media and digital management tools. There’s a lot to love… and some room to grow. We’ll keep watching what’s next for this browser-based software. In the meantime, Metricool just might be a tool for your organization to consider.

Overview

A dashboard view of Metricool; across the top, tabs read: Analytics; Inbox; Planning; SmartLinks; Ads

Within 10 minutes, we connected almost all of our social profiles and our website blog on WordPress. In another 10 minutes, we browsed through all of Metricool’s features in the free plan.

What we’re excited about

  • A FREE Option for Non-Profits
  • A Beautiful, Intuitive Clean Interface
  • Quick Set up
  • Centralized Inbox and Notification Reply System
  • Centralized Google, Facebook, and Instagram ads
  • Built-in “Link in Bio” Tool
  • Centralized Analytics
  • Price tiers aren’t based on the number of social channels

What we’re disappointed with

  • A Lack of Free LinkedIn Integration
  • A Lack of Diverse Channels – No Mastodon, Bluesky
  • No RSS Feed
  • Not Enough Ad Customization
  • Can Only Pull 3 months of Analytics with the Free Account
  • Not Enough Native Channel Features

Summary

With Metricool, there’s no need to log in to various platforms every time you’re doing social planning or viewing analytics. Your blog, website, and even your competitor analysis from Facebook are dropped into a single dashboard when analyzing engagement. Your “Link-in-Bio” tool is built in. Your response inbox is built in. You can run Google Ads on Metricool – and that, in itself, is very, very cool.

But – communication managers are still looking for more robust features in their social scheduling and drafting tools. We’d like to be able to overlay captions and include a link button on our stories like we do when posting directly on Instagram. We’d like to get away from using Facebook’s Meta Business Suite altogether when running ads.

And for crying out loud, we’d like to integrate LinkedIn without paying $18 a month.
